Galapagos Islands and Peru
Two of our most popular destinations in South America are the iconic Galapagos Islands and Peru, particularly legendary Machu Picchu. And the two are amazingly compatible and complementary…the archaeology, history and culture of Peru plays well with the wildlife and natural history experience of the Galapagos. And both offer daily opportunities for an active adventure - be it hiking the Inca Trail or through colorful indigenous villages, snorkeling with playful sea lions, or kayaking into sea caves that may have sheltered pirates long ago. The combinations are endless but Kelsey and Sherry are experts in finding the right fit for our travelers.

Journey to India
Kelley McHenry and Fran Gallo from Spiritual India Journeys, will talk about what we have learned from many years of traveling in India and share with you some of our favorite photographs. We take you to a deeper level of understanding the complex and beautiful cultures of South Asia. We love India and want to share the experience of traveling there with you. Meet India's beautiful people, fascinating customs, and rich cultural heritage. Learn where and when to go, how to prepare, what to pack, and what to read.

Kelley McHenry, trip organizer, is a librarian at Seattle Central College and holds an MA in International Studies, South Asia from the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington. She has lived and worked in Kenya and the Netherlands and traveled widely in Asia and Europe, but India is her passion. In addition to academic studies, Kelley has been to India many times, lived with Indian families, studied Hindi, and been leading tour groups to India for the past 16 years.

Fran Gallo has led several trips to India for Know India Travel and Spiritual India Journeys. She was formerly an English instructor at Green River Community College and now devotes herself to teaching hatha yoga to share its healing and empowering effects. She studied hatha yoga at Ananda Yoga Centre in Nepal and furthered her studies at Ved Niketan Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India. For Fran, yoga's magic is in discovering how to go beyond what we perceive as our limits and in the profound sense of wholeness, peace, and balance one obtains from cultivating a yoga practice.

Nemrut, the world's oldest temple of Gobekli Tepe, with splendid sceneries of ancient Mesopotamia and Fertile Crescent, dramatic views of the Black Sea coast combined with charming village life, impressive fortresses and ancient monasteries, not to say anything about some mouth watering specialties.
